Terminal by terminal

Where will your chauffeur meet you at LAX?

You choose the meeting point when you book. Curbside puts your chauffeur on the lower Arrivals level outside your terminal. Meet-and-greet puts your chauffeur inside the building with your name on a sign, which is the easier option for a student flying in alone for the first time. Tom Bradley International arrivals are met in the arrivals hall once customs is behind you, or at the lower-level curb. Because iRide360 is prearranged and licensed, the LAX-it rideshare lot never enters the picture. Still looking? Dispatch answers (833) 743-3360.

USC coverage

Where on the University Park Campus can we drop you?

Your ride ends at the entrance nearest your building, so name the building when you book. These are the points visitors ask for most.

Bovard Administration Building

3551 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, CA 90089. This is USC's published University Park address and the point our advertised fare was quoted to.

The named campus entrances

USC renamed its numbered gates after the streets they sit on: the Watt Way, Pardee Way, McCarthy Way, Royal Street, McClintock Avenue, Downey Way and Jefferson Boulevard Entrances. Tell us the building and dispatch routes your chauffeur to the right one.

USC Hotel

3540 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90007. USC Transportation's published campus drop-off and pick-up list keeps the USC Hotel on it from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., alongside EVK. Ask for a LAX to USC hotel drop-off by name when you book.

USC Village

On West Jefferson Boulevard between South Hoover Street and McClintock Boulevard. USC says its parking entrance can be navigated to using 3215 South Hoover Street.

Galen Center

3400 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90089, home of USC basketball and volleyball and the USC Ticket Office. USC Athletics notes the Metro E Line Jefferson/USC station is next to the arena.

Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

3911 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037. The Coliseum's own directions page names Expo Park Drive, reached from Figueroa Street, as its rideshare drop-off and pick-up area, with a Vermont Avenue zone between Exposition Boulevard and Downey Way for larger events.

EVK Residential Hall and Parkside Apartments

635 West McCarthy Way and 3730–3760 McClintock Avenue, both 90007. EVK sits inside the McCarthy Way Entrance and is the other point USC Transportation's published list keeps on it overnight.

USC Health Sciences Campus

1975 Zonal Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90033, in Boyle Heights. It is a different campus from University Park, so pick it by name when you book if that is your destination.

Residential University Park

USC's own addresses use ZIP 90089 for campus buildings and 90007 for the residence halls and the USC Hotel; the Coliseum sits in 90037. We drive to any address in the neighborhood.

Good to know before a campus drop-off

  • University Park is gated. USC's Department of Public Safety states that two gates, McCarthy and McClintock, are open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and that visitors must be registered and carry photo identification. Sort your registration before you fly.
  • Crowd days matter more here than rush hours. USC Commencement's transit page says parking on campus "is extremely limited and fills quickly due to large crowds." Move-in weekend, the start of term, commencement and home game days are the busy ones.
  • Give us the building name, not just "USC." The campus has seven named entrances, and the right one saves you a walk with your luggage.
  • Staying in Downtown Los Angeles instead of on campus? It is the next neighborhood north, and our LAX to Downtown LA car service covers those hotels.

Frequently asked questions

LAX to USC car service FAQ

The questions travelers ask before booking a LAX to USC transfer, grouped in the order they usually come up.

Prices

How much is a car service from LAX to USC?

An iRide360 LAX to USC car service starts at $129 for an executive sedan and $153 for a luxury SUV. Our own quotes to the University Park Campus and the venues around it ran $129 to $136 by sedan and $153 to $162 by SUV, rounded up. Tolls and taxes are in that price, there is no surge, and the gratuity is yours to choose.

How much is car service to LAX from USC?

A USC to LAX car service costs the same from-price as the ride in: $129 by executive sedan and $153 by luxury SUV. Book transportation from USC to LAX with your building name, and the booking page shows your exact fare before you pay. The price is fixed once booked, and a campus pickup includes 15 minutes of free waiting.

Does traffic or a game day change my fare?

No. Traffic and event nights do not change an iRide360 fare between LAX and USC. The price is locked when you book, whether the 110 is crawling or Figueroa Street is full for a Coliseum event. Only a change you make moves it: a different address or vehicle, an added stop, a child seat, or waiting past the free hour after landing.

Getting there

How do I get from LAX to USC?

You can reach USC from LAX by pre-booked private car, by rideshare or taxi, by shared shuttle or by public transit. A LAX to USC car service meets you at your own terminal and drives your party and luggage straight to the campus entrance nearest your building. Because the campus is gated, naming that building at booking is what makes the drop-off simple.

Which USC campus does this page cover?

This page covers the University Park Campus at 3551 Trousdale Parkway, just south of Downtown Los Angeles. USC also runs a Health Sciences Campus at 1975 Zonal Ave in Boyle Heights, which is a different place several miles away. When you book a ride from LAX to University of Southern California, pick the campus by name so your chauffeur drives to the right one.

How far is USC from LAX?

The LAX to USC distance is about 15.2 miles by road to the University Park Campus, and about 14.5 miles on the way back. The usual route is Interstate 105 East then Interstate 110 North, reversed on the return. USC Village, on the far side of campus, is about 15.4 miles. These are road distances, per Google traffic estimates (Routes API).

On campus

Where on campus will my chauffeur drop me?

Your chauffeur drops you at the campus entrance nearest the building you named at booking. USC renamed its numbered gates after their streets, so the entrances are now Watt Way, Pardee Way, McCarthy Way, Royal Street, McClintock Avenue, Downey Way and Jefferson Boulevard. We also serve USC Village, the USC Hotel and the residence halls on McCarthy Way and McClintock Avenue.

Can a car reach my building late at night?

Plan for a gate, not a door, after 9 p.m. USC's Department of Public Safety states that two gates, McCarthy and McClintock, are open from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and that visitors must be registered and carry photo identification. Tell dispatch your building at booking and sort your USC registration before you fly, and a late landing stays simple.

Do you serve USC Village and the residence halls?

Yes. Name the residence hall when you book and dispatch routes your chauffeur to the entrance that serves it, whether that is EVK Residential Hall at 635 West McCarthy Way or Parkside Apartments at 3730–3760 McClintock Avenue. USC Village sits on West Jefferson Boulevard between South Hoover Street and McClintock Boulevard, and USC gives 3215 South Hoover Street as the address to navigate to for its parking entrance.

Timing

How long does it take to drive from USC to LAX?

The USC to LAX drive time was 15–20 minutes at 3:30 AM and 30–55 minutes at 7:00 AM in our Tuesday checks, with 20–35 minutes at 10:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM. A Tuesday 4:30 PM pickup took 25–40 minutes and a Friday 2:30 PM pickup 20–35 minutes. All times are typical, per Google traffic estimates (Routes API).

When should I leave USC for an LAX flight?

For a 1:00 PM domestic flight, leave the University Park Campus around 9:55 AM. That covers the slow end of the measured drive, a 20-minute safety buffer, 10 minutes of margin and two hours at LAX. For a 6:00 AM departure, book about 3:10 AM; for an 11:00 AM international flight, about 6:35 AM, which allows three hours at the airport.

At LAX

Where does my chauffeur meet me at LAX?

You meet your chauffeur at the terminal you land in: on the lower-level Arrivals curb, or inside holding a name sign if you chose meet-and-greet. International arrivals at the Tom Bradley International Terminal meet in the arrivals hall after customs, or at the lower-level curb. If you cannot spot each other, dispatch answers (833) 743-3360 at any hour.

Do I have to go to the LAX-it lot?

No. iRide360 passengers never use LAX-it, the lot where app-based rideshare pickups happen. As a prearranged, licensed charter-party carrier, iRide360 collects you at your own terminal instead. You walk from baggage claim to the curb or to your chauffeur's name sign, and the car heads straight for campus.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Your pickup moves with the flight, at no extra charge. Your booking holds the airline and flight number, so dispatch follows the flight and times the chauffeur to your real landing. If you are rebooked onto a different flight, call (833) 743-3360 with the new number so your chauffeur meets the right arrival.

How long will my chauffeur wait after I land?

Your chauffeur waits 60 minutes at no charge, counted from the moment your flight lands at LAX. That is usually enough for immigration, baggage claim and the walk out. After that hour, waiting is billed at $1 per minute. For a pickup on campus rather than at the airport, the free wait is 15 minutes.

Alternatives

Is there a shuttle or bus from USC to LAX?

iRide360 runs private cars, not a shuttle or a bus. Anyone searching for a USC shuttle to LAX, a USC to LAX shuttle or a public bus is looking at services run by other operators, on their own schedules, so check the details with them. A shuttle from USC to LAX, or a LAX to USC shuttle coming the other way, may stop for other riders. With iRide360 only your party travels.

Is an airport shuttle cheaper than a taxi?

It depends on the operator, the day and the number of passengers, so neither is reliably cheaper than the other. A shared shuttle usually charges per seat and stops for other riders; a taxi charges by its own fare rules for the whole car. An iRide360 private car is different again: one fixed price, set at booking, from $129.

How much does an Uber ride from LAX to USC cost?

Only the Uber app can tell you, because rideshare prices move with demand minute by minute. The LAX to USC Uber cost quoted at 9 AM may be nothing like the one quoted at 9 PM. An Uber from LAX to USC, or a USC to LAX Uber on the way home, both begin at the LAX-it lot. An iRide360 fare is fixed at booking, from $129, with pickup at your terminal.

How much is a taxi from LAX to USC?

A taxi from LAX to USC is metered under its own fare rules, so the total is not known until you arrive. For current taxi information at the airport, check LAX's official site, flylax.com. An iRide360 executive sedan is quoted before you travel, starts at $129 with tolls and taxes included, and picks you up at your terminal rather than a shared rank.

Service

Is there a black car service from LAX to USC?

Yes. iRide360 runs a LAX to USC black car service in both directions, using black executive sedans and full-size luxury SUVs under California CPUC charter-party permit TCP 43833-A. We cover the University Park Campus, USC Village, the USC Hotel, the Galen Center and the surrounding ZIP codes 90007, 90089 and 90037, with fares from $129.

Do you offer limo service for USC trips?

iRide360 gives you the private, chauffeured airport limousine experience in black executive sedans and luxury SUVs. We do not operate stretch limousines. If you searched for a USC limo service for commencement or a campus visit, what you get is a professional chauffeur, your party alone in the car, and a price fixed when you book.

Do you handle a USC airport transfer for move-in or commencement?

Yes. A USC airport transfer from LAX airport to USC is booked ahead and private to your party, in an executive sedan or a luxury SUV, and the fare does not rise because the campus is busy. Book early for move-in weekend, the start of term or commencement, and name the building so dispatch can route the chauffeur.

Vehicles

Which vehicle fits my group and luggage?

The executive sedan takes up to 3 passengers with 3 bags; the luxury SUV takes up to 5 passengers with 5 bags. Count the suitcases as carefully as the people, because a move-in load fills a car fast. Mention oversized items such as a bike box or a cello when you book, so dispatch sends the right vehicle.

Can I get a child seat?

Yes. iRide360 fits booster, forward-facing and rear-facing child seats on request, from $25 each. Give the number, the type and each child's age and weight in your booking. The seats are already installed when your chauffeur arrives, whether you are collected at LAX or at a USC address.

Booking

How far ahead should I book, and can I change it afterwards?

Book as soon as your flight is confirmed, and you can still change it. Early booking holds your vehicle class and any child seats. Pickup time, address and vehicle can all be changed online or through dispatch at (833) 743-3360, and the fare is recalculated for the new trip. Flight delays need no call, because dispatch already follows your flight.

Book your ride to campus

See the fixed price for your LAX to USC car service on our booking page, and add the building name so your chauffeur meets you at the right entrance. Flying home later in the term? Book that pickup now too.
