Carpinteria is a small city with a wide mailing address. The city itself covers 2.6 square miles of Santa Barbara County coast, but the 93013 ZIP code reaches well past the city limits, and a car is priced on the address you type, not on the city name. Our LAX to Carpinteria car service settles that before you land, along with the two numbers you actually want. People also search this as Los Angeles to Carpinteria car service, or just as los angeles to carpinteria.

Flat rates · No surge
One price covers the whole run. Our LAX to Carpinteria car service is not metered, not hourly and not per mile, and the vehicle list is two items long: a sedan or an SUV. The luxury car service Carpinteria travelers want from the airport is priced here as a single door-to-door fare, agreed before the car moves. Carpinteria car service in the opposite direction is quoted on the same form. We quoted one Carpinteria drop-off, so we publish one "from" price per vehicle rather than a range, and we have not quoted the southbound leg at all. Your exact street address sets the fare. Car service LAX to Carpinteria is priced per address, which matters more here than in most places: a 93013 address on Santa Claus Lane or Padaro Lane is outside the city limits, in the County's Toro Canyon Plan area, and it is a different trip from a street off Linden Avenue. An LAX to Carpinteria private car service booking is priced on that street address, never on the city line.

Five steps, from booking to your Carpinteria street address.
Book on iride360.com/book with your flight number and your full Carpinteria street address.
Choose between the executive sedan and the luxury SUV, and tick meet and greet at $25 if you want it.
Fly. Dispatch follows the flight, so a late landing moves the pickup and not the price.
Clear baggage claim and step out to the lower Arrivals level, or look for your name sign in the hall.
Ride. Your 60 minutes of complimentary wait starts the moment the flight lands.
Terminal by terminal
Choose one of two options when you book. Curbside: your chauffeur collects you from the lower Arrivals level outside your terminal once you have your bags. Meet and greet: for $25 your chauffeur waits inside with a name sign, which is the LAX car service meet and greet option and the easier one at the end of a long day. Through Tom Bradley International Terminal we meet you in the arrivals hall after customs, or at the lower-level curb. iRide360 does not use the LAX-it rideshare lot. We are a prearranged licensed operator, so we come to the terminal rather than sending you to a bus. The precise spot comes from your chauffeur once you are down, not from this page.
Terminals 1, 2 and 3
Curbside on the lower Arrivals level outside your baggage claim doors, or meet and greet inside the terminal with a name sign.
Terminals 4, 5 and 6
Lower Arrivals level curb once your bags are in hand; your chauffeur's name, phone number and vehicle are sent before you land.
Terminals 7 and 8
Lower Arrivals level curb, or an in-terminal meet at baggage claim if you selected meet and greet.
Tom Bradley International Terminal
After customs and immigration, meet your chauffeur in the arrivals hall with a name sign, or at the lower-level curb.
Not sure where to go?
Call live dispatch at (833) 743-3360 and we will walk you to your chauffeur. We do not use the LAX-it rideshare lot.
Airlines by terminal
Add your airline and flight number at booking and your chauffeur meets you at the right terminal. Current assignments from the official LAX Airline Location Map (document SP26-0707, dated July 1, 2026):
| Terminal | Airlines |

| Terminal 1 | JetBlue, Southwest, Cayman Airways, Frontier, Sun Country, Viva Aerobus |
| Terminal 2 | LATAM, Virgin Atlantic, WestJet |
| Terminal 3 | Aeromexico, Delta |
| Terminal 4 | American Airlines, American Eagle, Contour, British Airways, Japan Airlines |

Terminal assignments can change. The official LAX terminal maps and Airline Location Map are the source of truth, so check them or your airline before you fly.
Delays, early arrivals, waiting
Complimentary wait time
Every iRide360 arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) includes 60 minutes of complimentary wait after landing, then $1 per minute. A Carpinteria pickup away from an airport includes 15 minutes of complimentary wait.
Delayed flights
Dispatch follows the operating flight and moves your pickup to the new arrival time at no extra charge. Nothing is needed from you.
Your flight number does more work here than the clock does
Hand it over at booking, dispatch watches the flight, and a delay shifts the pickup rather than costing you the car.
Diversions or rebooking
If your airline re-routes you to another airport or flight, call dispatch with the new details and we will requote and reassign the pickup.
One measured estimate, read October 16, 2026
One number, because one number is what we measured. On October 16, 2026 our booking engine quoted the trip at 85 miles and estimated 1 hour 45 minutes for one morning departure. We did not record the clock time of that departure, so we are not going to pretend we know which morning hour it describes.
The short version: 85 miles, measured once, with the engine's own 1 hour 45 minute estimate attached to it, both read on October 16, 2026.
What that number is and is not. It is one estimate, for one departure, on one morning, taken from our own booking engine. Nothing else was measured — not another hour of the day, and not a reading taken from any mapping or routing service. It is not a guaranteed LAX to Carpinteria drive time, and the honest LAX airport to Carpinteria answer is that 85 miles of coast has good days and bad ones. We build the margin into your pickup rather than into the price, which is what the table below is for.
| What we measured | Reading |
|---|---|
| Driving distance | 85 miles |
| Booking-engine estimate, one morning departure | 1 hour 45 minutes |
| Date read | October 16, 2026 |
| Clock time of that departure | Not recorded |
One thing about this corridor is worth knowing before you book, and we will quote it the way it was published. The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments published on March 23, 2026 that the project it calls "Highway 101: Carpinteria to Santa Barbara" has a final segment, "Highway 101: Santa Barbara North", which was "scheduled to begin on Monday, April 6, and continue through 2028". The same statement records that "as of January 2025, 7 miles across three segments have been completed", and quotes Supervisor Roy Lee saying, "We've seen meaningful improvements between Carpinteria and Summerland, and progress continues through Montecito." We re-checked that page on October 17, 2026 and it still reads that way. We will not tell you what it is doing today or add minutes to your drive for it, because we have not measured either.
85 miles and 1 hour 45 minutes, read from iRide360's own booking form on October 16, 2026 for one morning departure whose clock time was not recorded. One departure on one day, not a guarantee, and not taken from any mapping or routing service. The three facts on this page that change where a car can stop — the Linden Avenue closure, the harbor seal rookery closure and the Toro Canyon boundary — were re-checked against the City of Carpinteria's, the County of Santa Barbara's and California State Parks' own pages on October 17, 2026, and all three still read as published here.

Departures
Carpinteria to LAX is the leg people book last and should work out first. Count on being at LAX two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. Our car service Carpinteria to LAX works backwards from the flight: the airport buffer, then the full 1 hour 45 minute drive estimate, then a 20-minute safety buffer. The estimate itself was taken northbound and then applied to the southbound run, which is why every row below is a planning figure and nothing stronger. Carpinteria to LAX transportation is the part of the trip nobody looks forward to, so here is the whole subtraction in the open. The method, spelled out. Start at the flight time. Take off 2 hours for a domestic departure or 3 hours for an international one. Take off the whole 1 hour 45 minute drive estimate, not part of it. Take off a further 20 minutes as a safety buffer. Round whatever is left down to the nearest five minutes. Nothing else is padded on top: a house allowance only means something when a slow-hour and fast-hour band has been measured, and this route has one engine estimate and no band at all. That comes to 4 hours 5 minutes off every domestic flight time and 5 hours 5 minutes off every international one, and the working is printed beside each row. The takeaway in one line: an early-morning flight means a pickup in the small hours, and the earliest row below is 1:55 AM.
| Flight departs | Flight type | Suggested pickup in Carpinteria | The arithmetic |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6:00 AM | Domestic | 1:55 AM | 6:00 AM − 2:00 − 1:45 − 0:20 = 1:55 AM, already on a five-minute mark |
| 9:00 AM | Domestic | 4:55 AM | 9:00 AM − 2:00 − 1:45 − 0:20 = 4:55 AM, already on a five-minute mark |
| 1:00 PM | Domestic | 8:55 AM | 1:00 PM − 2:00 − 1:45 − 0:20 = 8:55 AM, already on a five-minute mark |
| 6:00 PM | Domestic | 1:55 PM | 6:00 PM − 2:00 − 1:45 − 0:20 = 1:55 PM, already on a five-minute mark |
| 11:00 AM | International | 5:55 AM | 11:00 AM − 3:00 − 1:45 − 0:20 = 5:55 AM, already on a five-minute mark |
| 10:30 PM | International | 5:25 PM | 10:30 PM − 3:00 − 1:45 − 0:20 = 5:25 PM, already on a five-minute mark |
Carpinteria coverage
The address matters more than the city name — Carpinteria covers 2.6 square miles, but the 93013 ZIP code goes further than the city does. The County of Santa Barbara describes Santa Claus Lane as "a two-lane roadway in the Toro Canyon Plan area" that "extends approximately 3,000 feet from Padaro Lane to Spindrift/Sand Point Road", and it carries a Carpinteria ZIP. So does Padaro Lane. Enter the street address, not the city, and the booking page prices the trip you are actually taking.
Linden Avenue, downtown
Linden is the street almost everything sits on, and once a year it shuts. For the 2026 avocado festival the City published that "the closure will span Linden Avenue from Carpinteria Avenue to Sixth Street", starting Thursday, October 1 at 6 a.m. and reopening "overnight on Sunday, October 4", with side streets through that stretch "closed to all but local traffic". That notice was published on September 30, 2026 and we re-checked it on October 17, 2026. Tell us if you are arriving on a festival weekend and we will plan the drop-off around it.
Carpinteria train station — 475 Linden Avenue, 93013
Amtrak classifies it as a "Train Station - Platform with Shelter" and places it "a short walk" from the Linden Avenue commercial district. Amtrak's own Features, Baggage, Parking and Hours sections for this stop are empty, so treat it as a platform rather than a building, and plan to be dropped close to the time you need.
Carpinteria State Beach
California State Parks publishes the access in one line: "the park is on Highway 224, off U.S. 101, twelve miles south of Santa Barbara." Day use runs sunrise to sunset. State Parks publishes no street address and no ZIP for the park, so we drop at the entrance it names. The park has announced annual maintenance from February 15 to March 13, 2027, when four of its camping loops will not be available for reservations.
Carpinteria Harbor Seal Rookery overlook
The City says the overlook "can be accessed by the Carpinteria Coastal Vista Trail", that "parking is available at 499 Linden Ave", and that the walk from there is "approximately 1.3 miles". The beach itself "is CLOSED from December 1st through May 31st" under City Ordinance #470, to protect the colony during pupping season, extending roughly 750 feet either side of Casitas Pier and 1,000 feet out to sea. Half the year, the overlook is the trip.
Carpinteria Salt Marsh Preserve
35 acres, with a quarter-mile Land Trust public trail, open sunrise to sunset daily. The Land Trust tells visitors to park on Ash Avenue, and gives its own driving direction from US-101 as Exit 87B for Carpinteria Avenue, then right onto Estero Street. Eleven families sold their part of the marsh to the UC Natural Reserve System in 1977, and a four-year restoration finished in 2008.
Carpinteria Bluffs Trailhead — 6145 Carpinteria Ave
The address the City gives for the trailhead in its own post of September 25, 2023. The City publishes no parking street and no general hours for the preserve, so we drop at the trailhead address and nothing more is claimed.
Carpinteria City Hall — 5775 Carpinteria Avenue, 93013
For city business and the civic block around it.
Residential Carpinteria
We drive to homes across 93013, which is the only ZIP code this page lists, because it is the only one our own sources confirm: the City publishes it for City Hall, Amtrak publishes it for the station, and the County publishes it for Santa Claus Lane.
Compare your options
Los Angeles to Carpinteria car service is one of several ways to cover 85 miles, and they are not the same product. Travelers who type Los Angeles to Carpinteria and travelers who type the airport code are asking the same question. Search how to get from LAX to Carpinteria and you get all of them at once; ask for transportation from LAX to Carpinteria and you get them again in another order.
Here is how each one works, with no prices for anything we do not sell. Ground transportation LAX to Carpinteria comes down to the first two rows: who sets the price, and where you are met.
The short version: of the five, only the private car settles the price before you fly and collects you at the terminal.
| What you are comparing | iRide360 private car | Rideshare | Taxi | Shared shuttle | Train |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pickup location | Terminal curb, or inside with a name sign | The LAX-it lot, reached by shuttle bus | The LAX-it lot, the same holding area | An assigned bay, after other passengers | Not from LAX; you travel to a station first |
| Price model | One price set at booking | Dynamic, changes with demand | Metered, rises with time and distance | Per seat | Per ticket |
| Departure | When you are ready | On demand | On demand | On a published timetable | On a published timetable |
| Wait policy | 60 minutes free after landing | Driver waits a few minutes | Rank-dependent | Departs on schedule | Departs on schedule |
| Luggage help | Chauffeur loads and unloads | Driver's discretion | Driver's discretion | Self-serve | Self-serve, with a transfer |
| Shared stops | None | None | None | Yes, several | Yes, every station |
| Flight tracking | Included | No | No | Varies | No |
The row that decides it on this route is Departure. Two of those five leave when a timetable says so, which is fine if your flight lands on time and awkward if it does not. Ours leaves when you are ready, and the price was agreed before you got on the plane. That is the case for booking LAX to Carpinteria car service in advance rather than sorting it out at the curb, and it is why LAX to Carpinteria ground transportation is worth ten minutes before you fly.

Frequently asked questions
The questions travelers ask before booking a LAX to Carpinteria transfer, grouped in the order they usually come up.
Price
LAX to Carpinteria car service is priced from $335 in the executive sedan and from $385 in the luxury SUV, before optional gratuity. Both figures were read from our own booking form on October 16, 2026 for a one-way trip out of Los Angeles International Airport. Tolls and taxes are included. Your exact drop-off address sets the final number, and you see it before you confirm.
The LAX to Carpinteria car service cost starts at $335 for a sedan and moves with your address. That matters here: a 93013 address on Padaro Lane sits outside the city limits and is a different distance from a street off Linden Avenue. Type the full street address on the booking page and the exact figure appears before you commit.
The luxury SUV, from $385, is the class that takes five passengers and five bags. That is the LAX to Carpinteria car service price in our larger class, before optional gratuity. Larger parties are split across more than one car on a single reservation. We run exactly two classes, so choose on luggage first and headcount second.
The cost of car service from LAX to Carpinteria is $335 in the sedan and $385 in the SUV, a difference of $50 on this route. Carpinteria car service rates move with the vehicle class and the street address you type in. They do not move with how long the drive takes. The sedan carries 3 passengers and 3 bags; the SUV carries 5 and 5.
The return is priced the same way, as one fixed fare set when you book, but we publish no figure for it because we quoted the northbound trip only. Put your pickup address in, set LAX as the destination, and car service from Carpinteria to LAX comes back with its own figure before you confirm. Carpinteria to LAX car service is quoted on the same form.
The drive
About 1 hour 45 minutes, which is what our booking engine estimated for one morning departure on October 16, 2026. If you are asking how long is the drive from LAX to Carpinteria, treat that figure as one morning's estimate rather than a guarantee. We did not record the clock time of that departure, and we measured no other hour, so we build the margin into your pickup.
85 miles on the route our booking engine quoted on October 16, 2026. Travelers asking how far is LAX to Carpinteria sometimes find other figures, because the distance depends on which 93013 address you are heading to, and some of them sit outside the city limits. The figure above is what the trip we actually quoted returned, not a tidied-up version of it.
The LAX to Carpinteria drive is the same 85 miles at any hour, and we run it around the clock, which matters because the earliest flights need a pickup before 2:00 AM. We publish no night-time estimate, because we measured one morning departure and nothing else. Your chauffeur plans the run against your flight time, not against a clock.
Pickup
Curbside on the lower Arrivals level outside your terminal, or inside with a name sign if you add meet and greet for $25 at booking. From Tom Bradley International Terminal we meet you in the arrivals hall after customs, or at the lower-level curb. No door number or parking space is promised ahead of time, because the one that works depends on the day; your chauffeur tells you where once you are on the ground.
We track your flight and move the pickup to the new landing time at no charge. You do not need to call, rebook or pay a change fee. Your 60 minutes of complimentary wait starts when you actually land, not when you were scheduled to. If a delay turns into a cancellation, call dispatch on (833) 743-3360 and we will sort out the new day.
Departures
About 1:55 AM. Work it back: two hours at the airport for a domestic flight, the whole 1 hour 45 minute drive estimate, and 20 minutes of safety buffer, rounded down to five minutes. Three of the six flight times we publish need a pickup before 6:00 AM. Your Carpinteria to LAX airport run starts in the dark, and we would rather say so here than at your door.
Yes. Car service Carpinteria to LAX is the same booking with the addresses reversed, and dispatch runs 24 hours, including the small-hours pickups the earliest flights need. Carpinteria to LAX transportation shows its price on screen before you confirm. We quoted the northbound trip only, so we would rather let the form answer than guess at the return.
No, and we will not pretend otherwise: only the northbound trip was quoted. The Carpinteria to Los Angeles leg is priced the same way — one fixed fare set at booking, with tolls and taxes included — but the number depends on your pickup address. Take the number off the booking page instead of carrying the outbound one over.
Alternatives
Shared shuttle services run this corridor and we do not sell a seat on one, so we quote no operator's fare, timetable or frequency. An LAX to Carpinteria shuttle picks up several parties, leaves when its schedule says and stops where other passengers are going. A shuttle from LAX to Carpinteria is a seat; what we sell is the whole car.
No, and that is the point. We do not run a timetable, so there is no departure to catch and no earlier or later slot to settle for. You choose the pickup time when you book and the car is there for it. Searches for a schedule on this route usually turn up a shared shuttle, which does run to a published timetable and is a different product.
A Carpinteria shuttle and a Carpinteria to LAX shuttle both exist on this corridor, and we sell neither, so we publish no price, schedule or journey time for either. A shuttle from Carpinteria to LAX shares stops and runs to a timetable. A private car waits on you rather than the other way round, and it drives to exactly one terminal: yours.
Yes. Is there transportation from LAX to Carpinteria is one of the first things people ask on this route, and the honest answer is that shared shuttles, buses, rail and rideshare all serve the corridor. None of those is something we sell, so you will find no fare and no timetable for any of them here. What we sell is one car, one price set at booking, and no other passengers.
There is no LAX to Carpinteria train from the airport itself, because LAX has no station, so any rail trip starts with a separate journey to one. Amtrak does stop in Carpinteria, at 475 Linden Avenue, and describes it as a platform with a shelter. We sell no rail ticket and quote no fare or timetable. A car is one vehicle from the curb to your street.
No. People search for Amtrak LAX to Carpinteria expecting one ride and find at least two legs, because the airport has no rail station of its own. The LAX to Carpinteria Amtrak trip means reaching a station first, with your luggage, then boarding. Rail tickets are not something we sell, so no rail fare or timetable appears here. An LAX to Carpinteria bus has the same catch.
We cannot tell you. If you are asking how much is Uber from LAX to Carpinteria, that is a number Uber sets at the moment you ask, and we publish no other company's fares. An Uber from LAX to Carpinteria is quoted the moment you request it and moves with demand, which is how it is designed. The LAX to Carpinteria Uber alternative we sell is fixed the moment you book.
We cannot answer that on price, because we set neither and publish nobody else's. We can tell you how the two behave. A taxi runs on a meter, so the number climbs with every minute of a drive our engine estimated at 1 hour 45 minutes. A rideshare fare is quoted on request and moves with demand. Ours is settled in full before anybody turns a key.
Either will take you, and neither fixes the price first. An LAX to Carpinteria taxi runs on a meter across 85 miles, and a Carpinteria taxi back to the airport does the same in reverse, so you learn the total on arrival. We set one price at booking and it does not move. That is the only difference we can speak to, because we publish no one else's fares.
Service
Not on any number we can show you, because we run no meter and publish nobody else's fare. The difference worth comparing is how each price behaves. Ours is agreed before you travel and stays put. A rideshare fare appears when you tap the button and moves with demand. Then compare who meets you, and for how long.
Yes, in the sense that matters. An LAX to Carpinteria limo with us is a black executive sedan or a full-size luxury SUV with a professional chauffeur. We do not operate stretch limousines, vans or party buses, so LAX to Carpinteria limo service here means a black car. Carpinteria limo service in the other direction is the same two classes, and a Carpinteria to LAX limo booking is the same form reversed.
That depends on what you are measuring, so judge it on criteria rather than on anyone's say-so. Travelers asking what the best car service from LAX is, or the best way to get from LAX to Carpinteria, usually weigh four things: whether the price is fixed before you travel, whether you are met at the terminal, how long the car waits, and how many stops you share. Compare those four answers.
Yes. A Carpinteria address is not always inside the City of Carpinteria: the County describes Santa Claus Lane as a roadway in the Toro Canyon Plan area, and it carries the 93013 ZIP, as does Padaro Lane. We drive to the street address you enter either way. It is priced on distance, so give us the address rather than the city.
Enter your pickup, your Carpinteria street address and your flight number, and the booking page prices your LAX to Carpinteria car service before you confirm anything. It takes a minute, and dispatch answers 24/7 on (833) 743-3360 if you would rather talk it through.
Private, flight-tracked chauffeur service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Carpinteria, California.
