Montecito sits about ninety miles up the coast from the airport, in Santa Barbara County, and it is far enough that the number on your booking matters more than the car. An LAX to Montecito car service with iRide360 is one fixed fare, agreed before you travel, for one private car and your party alone. We measured this route once, on October 16, 2026, and everything on this page comes from that measurement or from a source we have named.

What does an LAX to Montecito car service cost?

Two prices, because we run two cars. Your Montecito car service is an executive sedan or a luxury SUV, and the fare is set when you book rather than when you arrive. Both figures were read from our live booking form on October 16, 2026 and rounded down to the whole dollar, so the advertised number is never above the one the engine showed: the form returned $357.80 for the sedan and $410.42 for the SUV. On a range: there isn't one, and we will not invent one. We quoted a single drop-off, "Montecito, CA, USA", on October 16, 2026. One quote gives one fare, not a spread, so this page publishes no price range and no northbound fare for the return leg. Your own address is priced on the booking page before you commit, in either direction. Your LAX to Montecito flat rate is whatever that page shows you.

Estimates are planning guides. Your exact pickup time, address, vehicle and requested extras determine the confirmed total shown before payment.

What affects the price

  • The exact drop-off address. Ninety-two miles is an average, and your street is not.
  • Which of the two cars you book.
  • Extra stops, priced for the added distance and time.
  • Options added at booking: meet-and-greet ($25), a child seat (from $25 each), the pet fee ($25).
  • Wait beyond the complimentary hour at the airport, at $1 a minute.
  • Traffic. Your LAX to Montecito cost is fixed at booking, so a slow afternoon costs what a clear one costs.
  • The time of day or the day of the week. There is no surge pricing and no peak supplement on an LAX to Montecito car service.
  • A delayed flight. We track it and move the pickup at no charge.

What your fare includes

Included

  • The fare itself, for the whole door-to-door run.
  • Tolls and taxes, already inside the price you see.
  • Flight tracking, so dispatch follows your actual landing time.
  • 60 minutes of complimentary wait after an airport landing, and 15 minutes on a non-airport pickup.
  • Help with your luggage at both ends.

Added only when requested

  • Meet-and-greet inside the terminal, $25.
  • Child seats — booster, forward-facing or rear-facing — from $25 each.
  • A pet fee of $25.
  • Additional stops, priced for the added distance and time.
  • Gratuity is optional and chosen at checkout: 15%, 18%, 20%, 25% or any amount you like, including nothing. It goes to your chauffeur.

How does the booking work, step by step?

Five steps, from the booking page to your Montecito address.

  1. 1

Book online or call. Enter your pickup, your Montecito street address and your flight on the booking page, or call dispatch on (833) 743-3360, 24 hours a day. The fare appears before you commit.

  2. 2

Pick the car. An executive sedan for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags, or a luxury SUV for up to 5 and 5. Add a child seat, a pet, extra stops or meet-and-greet here, so the price is fixed before you travel.

  3. 3

Fly. We track the flight. If it lands late the pickup moves with it, at no charge.

  4. 4

Meet your chauffeur. Curbside on the lower Arrivals level once you have your bags, or in the arrivals hall after customs at Tom Bradley International. You have 60 minutes of complimentary wait from the moment you land.

  5. 5

Ride to the address you gave us. One car, your party only, no stop you did not book, and the fare you already agreed — tolls and taxes in, gratuity optional.

Terminal by terminal

Where do we meet you at LAX?

Curbside on the lower Arrivals level, once you have your bags, at no extra charge. Text or call your chauffeur and the car comes round. If you would rather be met inside with a name sign, add meet-and-greet for $25 when you book — it is an option, not something we include and then charge you for. Arriving at Tom Bradley International, we meet you in the arrivals hall after customs, or at the lower-level curb. iRide360 does not use the LAX-it rideshare lot, so a LAX airport to Montecito pickup starts at your terminal rather than after a shuttle ride.

Terminals 1, 2 and 3

Curbside on the lower Arrivals level outside your baggage claim doors, or meet-and-greet inside the terminal with a name sign.

Terminals 4, 5 and 6

Lower Arrivals level curb once your bags are in hand; your chauffeur's name, phone number and vehicle are sent before you land.

Terminals 7 and 8

Lower Arrivals level curb, or an in-terminal meet at baggage claim if you selected meet-and-greet.

Tom Bradley International Terminal

After customs and immigration, meet your chauffeur in the arrivals hall with a name sign, or at the lower-level curb.

Not sure where to go?

Call live dispatch at (833) 743-3360 and we will walk you to your chauffeur. We do not use the LAX-it rideshare lot.

Delays, early arrivals, waiting

If your flight does not land on time

Complimentary wait time

Every iRide360 arrival at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) includes 60 minutes of complimentary wait after landing, then $1 a minute. A Montecito pickup away from an airport includes 15 minutes of complimentary wait.

Delayed flights

Dispatch follows the operating flight and moves your pickup to the new arrival time at no extra charge. Nothing is needed from you.

We plan the day around your flight, not the clock

Give us your flight number when you book and dispatch follows the flight, so a late landing moves your pickup instead of costing you the car.

Diversions or rebooking

If your airline re-routes you to another airport or flight, call dispatch with the new details and we will requote and reassign the pickup.

One measured estimate, read October 16, 2026

How long is the drive from LAX to Montecito?

One number, and we will tell you exactly where it came from. When we priced this trip on the live booking form on October 16, 2026, the engine's own estimate for that one morning departure was 1 hour 53 minutes over 92.8 miles. That is the booking engine's estimate for one departure on one day, and it is not a guarantee. It is the only reading this page has: we measured no other hour and consulted no mapping or routing service.

So how far is Montecito from LAX? On the route the booking engine priced, 92.8 miles. The whole LAX to Montecito trip was measured in that one pass — distance, time and fare together — which is why the three figures agree with each other.

What we did not measure, and therefore do not publish. We took one reading. We have no slow-hour and fast-hour band for this route, so there is no hour-by-hour table on this page and no "allow an extra forty minutes on a Friday". We did not measure the Los Angeles to Montecito drive at any other time of day, and we did not measure the return leg at all. If you want the LAX to Montecito drive time for your own date, the honest answer is that we have one reading and the roads will do what they do.

LAX → Montecito

When you travelWhat we can tell you
The one reading we have92.8 miles and 1 hour 53 minutes, read from our booking form on October 16, 2026 for one morning departure
Every other hour of the dayWe did not measure it, so we publish no number for it
Montecito → LAXNot measured either. The departure table works back from the same single estimate

One sourced note about the corridor, in its source's words. The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments published a project update on March 23, 2026, titled "Construction Begins on Final Segment of Highway 101 Widening". It said construction was "scheduled to begin on Monday, April 6, and continue through 2028", covering "a new peak-period carpool lane in each direction between Hermosillo Road and Salinas Street", and that "the Highway 101 southbound off-ramp at Los Patos Way will be closed permanently at the beginning of construction". We checked that page on October 17, 2026. Hermosillo Road is in Montecito, which is why it is worth knowing. We have not measured what any of it does to a drive, so we publish no delay figure, no lane schedule and no statement about today's conditions — only what the source said and when it said it.

92.8 miles and 1 hour 53 minutes, read from iRide360's own booking form on October 16, 2026 for one morning departure. One departure on one day, not a guarantee. The corridor note is the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments' own wording, published March 23, 2026 and re-checked on October 17, 2026.

Live map of the current driving route and traffic between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Montecito, California. Drive time is a planning guide, not a guarantee.

Departures

When should you leave Montecito for an LAX flight?

Plan to be at LAX two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. From your flight time we subtract that airport buffer, then the full 1 hour 53 minute measured drive, then a 20-minute safety buffer, and we round the result down to the nearest five minutes. There is no extra house allowance in these numbers: that allowance exists for routes where we measured a slow-and-fast traffic band, and this route has one engine estimate and no band. Every row below runs Montecito to LAX, not the other way round, and every row shows its own arithmetic so you can redo it.

  • Read the first row again, because it is the point of this page. A 6:00 AM flight out of LAX means a pickup in Montecito at about 1:45 AM. That is a quarter to two in the morning. It is the middle of the night, not an early start, and we would rather you saw it here than found it out the evening before. A 9:00 AM flight means 4:45 AM. An 11:00 AM international flight means 5:45 AM. Three of the six times above fall before 6:00 AM. None of that is softened by a nicer word for it.
  • If those hours do not work, there are three honest options and we have no fourth. One: take the pickup anyway — the table shows exactly what each flight time costs you in sleep. Two: pick a later flight — a 1:00 PM departure moves the pickup to 8:45 AM; a 6:00 PM departure moves it to 1:45 PM. Three: come down to the LAX area the day before and book a short morning ride to the terminal instead. That is a separate booking at a separate fare — we quoted the one-way run to Montecito and nothing else, so we are not going to put a number on it here.
  • Then call dispatch on (833) 743-3360, 24 hours a day, and we will set the pickup together.
  • Pickup time, address and vehicle can all be changed online or with dispatch, and the price adjusts.
  • A Montecito to LAX pickup is not at an airport, so it carries 15 minutes of complimentary wait rather than the airport hour.
  • Your chauffeur helps with luggage at both ends.
  • These times are a guideline built on one engine estimate, not a guarantee. If your flight is tight, call dispatch and we will work it out with you.
  • A Montecito to LAX car service is booked on the same page as the trip out, and the exact return fare appears before you commit.

Montecito coverage

Where in Montecito do we drop you off?

A Montecito car service drop-off is only as good as the address you give us, and Montecito makes that harder than most places. Several of the addresses below print Santa Barbara as the mailing city even though the place is in Montecito. The constant is the ZIP: 93108. If the booking form echoes "Santa Barbara" back at you, check the ZIP before you worry.

Rosewood Miramar Beach, 1759 South Jameson Lane, Montecito, CA 93108

One of the few Montecito addresses that prints "Montecito" on its own website.

San Ysidro Ranch, 900 San Ysidro Lane, Santa Barbara, CA 93108

A Montecito property with a Santa Barbara mailing city. Its published check-in time is 4:00 PM, which is worth knowing when a morning flight lands you there at eleven.

Ganna Walska Lotusland

No street address is published for visitors at all. The garden says its Visitor Entrance "is near the intersection of Sycamore Canyon Road and Cold Spring Road", and tells guests in so many words: "Please inform your driver to pick-up/drop-off at the Visitor Entrance on Cold Spring Road." Advance reservations are required for everyone, with no walk-ins, and visitors are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their reservation time. Tell us the reservation time at booking and we will work the pickup back from it.

Westmont College, 955 La Paz Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93108

The college's own directions finish by turning onto Cold Spring Road and asking you to "continue half a mile to Westmont's Main Entrance".

Music Academy of the West, 1070 Fairway Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93108

Its own arrival line is "Turn Right into the Music Academy at 1070 Fairway Road. Follow the signs for parking."

Montecito Inn, 1295 Coast Village Road, Santa Barbara, California 93108

A Coast Village Road address with a Santa Barbara mailing city and the same 93108 ZIP.

Coast Village Road

The street's own business association places it in Montecito, California, and the association's own mailing address is in Santa Barbara, CA 93108. Give us the street number you are heading to and the 93108 ZIP.

Residential Montecito, ZIP 93108

ZIP 93150 is a PO Box ZIP; a United States Postal Service release gives the Montecito Post Office as 1470 East Valley Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93150. For a home drop-off, give us the street address and the 93108 ZIP and the quote will land where you mean it to.

Three things worth knowing before you book

  • Check the ZIP, not the city name. Of the seven Montecito places listed above, one prints "Montecito" as its mailing city and five print "Santa Barbara"; Lotusland prints no visitor street address at all. ZIP 93108 is what they share.
  • Lotusland needs its own plan. Advance reservations are required for every visitor, the garden asks people to arrive 15 minutes early, and it publishes a specific instruction to drivers to use the Visitor Entrance on Cold Spring Road. Give us the reservation time and we will build the pickup around it.
  • There is published roadwork on the corridor, and we are quoting the source, not the road. SBCAG's project update of March 23, 2026 said construction was "scheduled to begin on Monday, April 6, and continue through 2028" between Hermosillo Road and Salinas Street, and that "the Highway 101 southbound off-ramp at Los Patos Way will be closed permanently at the beginning of construction". We checked that page on October 17, 2026. We have measured no delay from it and publish none.

Frequently asked questions

LAX to Montecito car service FAQ

The questions travelers ask before booking a LAX to Montecito transfer, grouped in the order they usually come up.

Cost

How much does a car service from LAX to Montecito cost?

A Montecito car service from the airport starts at $357 in an executive sedan and $410 in a luxury SUV, one way, tolls and taxes included, gratuity optional. We read both figures from our live booking form on October 16, 2026 for a 92.8-mile trip and rounded them down to the whole dollar. Your exact LAX to Montecito car service fare depends on the address you give us.

How much is a car service from Montecito back to LAX?

A Montecito to LAX fare is not published on this page, because we did not measure one. We quoted a single one-way drop-off in Montecito on October 16, 2026, and we will not print a fare we have not read. The return is booked on the same page and priced the same way — fixed at booking, tolls and taxes in — and the exact figure appears before you commit.

Is there a price range for this route?

No, and we are not going to imply one. A range needs at least two measured addresses and we quoted one: "Montecito, CA, USA", on October 16, 2026. So this page carries one sedan fare and one SUV fare, both rounded down from what the engine showed. Enter your own street address on the booking page and the real number for it appears there.

Does traffic or the time of day change what I pay?

No. The fare is fixed when you book, so a slow Friday afternoon costs what a clear Tuesday morning costs. There is no surge pricing, no peak-hour supplement and no weekend rate on this route. What does change the fare is the drop-off address, which of the two cars you choose, any extra stops, and options such as a child seat or a meet-and-greet.

What is included in the fare?

The drive, tolls, taxes, flight tracking, 60 minutes of complimentary wait after an airport landing, 15 minutes on a non-airport pickup, and luggage help at both ends. Gratuity is not included: it is optional, chosen at checkout, and it goes to your chauffeur. Meet-and-greet, child seats, a pet fee and extra stops are each added at booking if you want them.

The drive

How long is the drive from LAX to Montecito?

Montecito is about 1 hour 53 minutes from the airport on our booking engine's own estimate for one morning departure, read on October 16, 2026. That is one reading on one day and it is not a guarantee. We measured no other hour and consulted no mapping or routing service, so there is no hour-by-hour table on this page and we will not estimate one for you.

How far is Montecito from LAX?

Montecito is 92.8 miles from LAX on the route our booking engine quoted on October 16, 2026. The distance was measured in the same pass as the fare and the time, which is why all three agree. It is a long-distance run rather than a city transfer, and that is exactly why this page publishes a departure table instead of a vague "allow a couple of hours".

When should I leave Montecito for a 6:00 AM flight?

Leave Montecito at about 1:45 AM for a 6:00 AM flight out of LAX. That is two hours at the airport, plus the full 1 hour 53 minute measured drive, plus a 20-minute safety buffer, rounded down to five minutes. We know how that reads. It is the middle of the night, and three of the six rows in our departure table fall before 6:00 AM. A later flight or a night near the airport is often the better answer.

Why is there no hour-by-hour drive time table?

Because we only measured the route once. A time-of-day table needs a slow reading and a fast reading for each window, and we have one engine estimate from one morning departure on October 16, 2026. Publishing a table built on guesses would make the page look more certain than it is. One honest number beats six invented ones.

Is there roadwork on the way that could delay me?

We do not know, and we will not guess. SBCAG's project update of March 23, 2026 said construction was "scheduled to begin on Monday, April 6, and continue through 2028" between Hermosillo Road and Salinas Street, and that the southbound off-ramp at Los Patos Way "will be closed permanently at the beginning of construction". We checked that page on October 17, 2026. We have measured no delay from it and publish no figure.

Curbside on the lower Arrivals level once you have your bags, at no extra charge. If you would rather be met inside with a name sign, add meet-and-greet for $25 when you book. Arriving at Tom Bradley International, we meet you in the arrivals hall after customs, or at the lower-level curb. Every airport booking includes 60 minutes of complimentary wait after you land.

Do I have to go to the LAX-it lot?

No. iRide360 does not use the LAX-it rideshare lot. As a prearranged licensed operator we meet you at your terminal, so there is no shuttle ride between your flight and your car. On a ninety-two-mile drive that matters more than on a short hop: the clock on your evening starts when you reach the car at your own terminal, rather than after a transfer to another lot.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing changes and you pay nothing extra. Flight tracking is included on every airport booking, so the pickup time moves with the delay automatically and you do not need to call or rebook. If the delay is long enough to change your plans altogether, dispatch answers on (833) 743-3360, 24 hours a day, and we will move the booking.

How long will you wait for me?

60 minutes of complimentary wait after your flight lands, then $1 a minute. The hour starts at the actual landing time rather than the scheduled one, because we track the flight. For a pickup that is not at an airport — a Montecito address, for example — the complimentary wait is 15 minutes instead.

Alternatives

Is there an LAX to Montecito shuttle?

Not from us. We do not sell an LAX to Montecito shuttle seat. A shared shuttle collects several passengers, makes several stops and leaves inside a fixed window, which is a different product from ours. With iRide360 the car is yours alone for the whole 92.8 miles, the fare is fixed at booking, and nobody else is picked up on the way. We publish no shuttle prices because we sell no shuttle seats.

Should I take a taxi or a rideshare instead?

Both work, and both move the price risk onto you. An LAX to Montecito taxi runs on a meter, so a slow stretch lands on your bill at the end. A rideshare price moves with demand and is quoted when you request the car. We do the arithmetic before you travel instead, and the number we quote is the number you pay.

What makes a private car worth it on this route?

Distance. On a ninety-two-mile run the difference between a fixed fare and a metered one is not loose change, and a shared service adds stops to a drive that is already close to two hours. A private car also means your luggage goes in once, the chauffeur helps at both ends, and the pickup is worked back from your actual flight time.

Vehicles

Which of the two cars should I book?

The executive sedan for one or two travelers with normal luggage; the luxury SUV for a family, bulky cases or anyone who wants the room on a long drive. Those are the only two classes we run: a sedan for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags, and an SUV for up to 5 passengers and 5 bags. There is no third option to choose between.

Is this a black car service?

Yes. iRide360 is a black car service, which here means a black executive sedan or a black full-size SUV with a professional chauffeur, booked in advance at a fixed fare. It is the same two cars in both directions, booked on the same page, and the class you pick is the promise — we do not name a make or model on a route page.

Do you offer a Montecito limo service?

We give you the private, chauffeured airport limousine experience in a black executive sedan or a luxury SUV. A Montecito limo service booking with us is one of those two cars and nothing else. If you mean a stretch limousine, that is a different product and we do not operate one, nor Sprinter vans, minibuses or party buses.

Can I bring a child seat or a pet?

Yes to both, added at booking. Child seats — booster, forward-facing or rear-facing — are from $25 each. A pet travels for a $25 pet fee; service animals are never charged. Tell us at booking rather than on the day, so the seat is fitted and the right car is sent for the number of people and bags you are traveling with.

Service

Do you drive Los Angeles to Montecito generally, or only from the airport?

Both. A Los Angeles to Montecito car service can start at a hotel, an office or a home anywhere in Los Angeles County, not only at a terminal, and it is priced the same way: fixed at booking, tolls and taxes in, gratuity optional. Long-distance trips from LAX run to San Diego County, the Coachella Valley, Santa Barbara County and the mountain resorts.

Can we stop on the way?

Yes. Extra stops are priced for the added distance and time, and you add them when you book so the fare is fixed before you travel rather than adjusted afterwards. On a route this long, one planned stop is usually easier than two separate bookings. Tell us the address at booking and it goes into the quote.

Booking

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can on this route. The departure arithmetic on this page often lands the pickup in the small hours, and booking early gives you time to look at that number and decide before the night itself. You can change the pickup time, the address or the vehicle online or with dispatch afterwards, and the price adjusts. Dispatch answers on (833) 743-3360, 24 hours a day.

How do I judge a car service for a trip this long?

On four things you can check before you pay. Is the price fixed before you travel, or quoted at the end? Is a license number published? What is the wait policy if your flight lands late? Are flights actually tracked? Those four are on this page: a flat rate, TCP 43833-A, 60 minutes of wait, and tracking on every airport booking.
