Typical, per Google Maps

How long is the drive from LAX to Westlake Village?

LAX airport to Westlake Village is 41.9 miles of road, and every one of our 20 readings ran it on Interstate 405 and U.S. Route 101. The spread below is what Google's traffic estimates call typical, and on this route it is wide.

Inbound, the slow end of the range nearly doubles between late night and the weekday afternoon peak.

LAX → Westlake Village

WindowTypical drive time
Late night (after 8 PM) and before 6 AM40 min – 1 hr
Weekday midday (9 AM–2 PM)50 min – 1 hr 20 min
Weekday morning peak (6:30–9:30 AM)1 hr 5 min – 1 hr 50 min
Weekday afternoon peak (3–7 PM)1 hr 10 min – 1 hr 55 min
Friday afternoons and evenings1 hr 5 min – 1 hr 35 min
Weekends55 min – 1 hr 20 min

Westlake Village → LAX

Outbound, the same stretch runs anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hr 10 min depending only on when you leave.

Leaving atTypical drive time
Tuesday 3:30 AM40 – 45 min
Tuesday 6:00 AM45 min – 1 hr 20 min
Tuesday 7:00 AM1 hr – 1 hr 55 min
Tuesday 10:00 AM55 min – 1 hr 25 min
Tuesday 3:00 PM1 hr – 2 hr
Tuesday 4:30 PM1 hr 15 min – 2 hr 10 min
Tuesday 6:30 PM50 min – 1 hr 10 min
Friday 2:30 PM1 hr 5 min – 1 hr 50 min

The 3:30 AM and the 7:00 AM readings are three and a half hours apart, and the drive between them more than doubles, from 40–45 minutes to 1 hr–1 hr 55 min. On a 41.9-mile run that gap is an hour of your morning, which is the whole reason the pickup table below exists. Three Springs Drive, at the far end of the city, adds 5 to 10 minutes to every window above.

Every range on this page is typical, per Google traffic estimates (Google Routes API), taken on 2026-10-11 across 20 readings between LAX and the Westlake Village Civic Center. The suggested pickups below already carry a stated 20-minute safety buffer.

Departures

Leaving Westlake Village for a flight: when to be ready

Book your Westlake Village to LAX car service around your flight, not around the clock. We work back from your departure using a two-hour airport buffer for domestic flights and three hours for international, then subtract the slow end of the Google traffic estimate for that hour, plus a stated 20-minute safety buffer, plus ten minutes for loading. Every pickup time below already includes that 20-minute safety buffer.

  • The working, row by row: 6:00 AM − 2 hr − 47 min drive − 20 min safety − 10 min; 9:00 AM − 2 hr − 116 min drive − 20 min safety − 10 min; 1:00 PM − 2 hr − 87 min drive − 20 min safety − 10 min; 6:00 PM − 2 hr − 129 min drive − 20 min safety − 10 min; 11:00 AM − 3 hr − 116 min drive − 20 min safety − 10 min; 10:30 PM − 3 hr − 129 min drive − 20 min safety − 10 min.
  • Look at the 6:00 AM row against the 9:00 AM row. The flight is three hours later, but the pickup moves only one hour and fifty minutes, because the morning drive nearly triples.
  • Each drive figure above is the slow end of the Google traffic estimate for the nearest reading we took, not an average.
  • We bring the car to your Westlake Village address and your chauffeur handles the bags. The first 15 minutes of waiting are free.
  • These times are a guideline from our own measurements. If your airline sets an earlier check-in cutoff, follow it.
  • Want a wider margin, or leaving from Three Springs Drive rather than the Civic Center? Call dispatch on (833) 743-3360 and we will set the pickup earlier.

Westlake Village coverage

Where we drop off inside the city line

We priced 41 locations carrying the Westlake Village name and ran the exact coordinate our pricing engine used for each one against the U.S. Census Bureau's incorporated-places layer, the official city-limits layer: 29 came back inside the City of Westlake Village and 12 did not. The twelve outside the line include the Hyatt Regency Westlake at 880 Westlake Blvd, 100 N Westlake Blvd, North Ranch Country Club on Valley Spring Drive, The Landing at Westlake Village on Agoura Road, The Promenade at Westlake on Promenade Way, and the centroid of each local ZIP, with 91362 on its own resolving into Thousand Oaks, Ventura County and 91361 on its own into unincorporated Ventura County. Every stop below sits inside the City of Westlake Village on that layer, and every sedan price is our own quote for a ride starting at LAX. Our LAX airport car service covers every street inside that line, so if you want a car service in Westlake Village to an address we have not listed, give us the street and we will quote it.

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California

Two Dole Drive, 91362. The hotel's own fact sheet records a November 2006 opening, 230 guest rooms and 39 suites across seven stories, and a 40,000-square-foot spa of 28 treatment rooms that it calls the largest in the Four Seasons brand. Our LAX to Four Seasons Westlake Village sedan quote was $202.83.

Westlake Village Inn

31943 Agoura Road, 91361. The inn lists the Lakeside Arbor, the Tuscan Garden and the Waterfall among its ceremony sites, with a Wine Cellar and a Wine Cave for meetings and events. Its local telephone is (818) 889-0230. Our sedan quote was $204.34.

Westlake Village Civic Center

31200 Oak Crest Drive, 91361. The City lists City Hall and the Civic Center Large Community Room at this address, and the Westlake Village Library sits on the same site at 31220 West Oak Crest Drive. At $201.32 for a sedan this was the lowest in-city fare we found, and it is the basis of the from-price on this page.

The Lindero Canyon Road corridor

91362. Our two lowest business-address quotes in the city were both on Lindero Canyon Road: $201.95 at 5795 and $202.27 at 5601. The Costco Wholesale at 5700 Lindero Canyon Road point-tested inside the city line too, at $202.69 for a sedan.

Russell Ranch Road and Via Colinas

91362. Two more business addresses we confirmed inside the city: 30700 Russell Ranch Road at $203.83 and 31320 Via Colinas at $204.07 for a sedan.

Oaks Christian School

31749 La Tienda Drive, 91362. The federal certified-school directory lists this as the school's physical address. Our sedan quote was $205.00.

Berniece Bennett Park

31800 Village Center Road, 91361, per the City's own facilities list. Our sedan quote was $204.42.

Westlake Village Community Park and Canyon Oaks Park

The City lists Field 1 at 31107 East Thousand Oaks Blvd., 91362, and Canyon Oaks Park at 6200 Hedgewall Drive, 91362. Both are inside the City of Westlake Village even though the first address reads Thousand Oaks Blvd. Sedan quotes were $203.06 and $204.20.

Residential Westlake Village

Homes here carry ZIP 91361 or 91362, and both ZIPs are shared with Thousand Oaks. We confirmed in-city addresses under both. Residential streets we priced inside the line include Foxfield Drive at $204.58, Lakeview Canyon Road at $205.14, Watergate Road at $205.73, Triunfo Canyon Road at $208.49 and Three Springs Drive at $211.44 for a sedan.

Worth knowing before you book

  • The Westlake Village community was planned as one place and is now governed as two. A diagonal county line runs through it. The Los Angeles County side became the City of Westlake Village in 1981. The Ventura County side was annexed into the City of Thousand Oaks in 1968 and 1972. So we checked every address rather than assuming.
  • Looking for the Hyatt Regency Westlake Village? Google's pin for that hotel reads Westlake Village, CA 91361, and the city-limits layer puts it in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County. None of this changes whether we will drive you there. iRide360 covers Ventura County as well as Los Angeles County, and every point that tested outside the line is one we serve. It changes only what the ride is priced as. Give us the street address and the fare follows the real location.
  • One more name worth keeping apart: the City of Los Angeles has its own Westlake, around MacArthur Park, with Westlake North and Westlake South neighborhood councils. That is a different place, about 35 miles from here.
  • Westlake Lake is private. It is a 125-acre lake with about eight miles of shoreline, completed in 1969 and maintained for Westlake Village residents by the Westlake Lake Management Association, and fishing and boating on it are restricted to residents with guests and permits. We drop you at street addresses near it, never on it.
  • The business addresses and the shortest LAX fares are the same places. The office and commercial addresses we priced inside the city sit on Lindero Canyon Road, Russell Ranch Road, Via Colinas and Agoura Road, and the two lowest were both on Lindero Canyon Road.
  • A street name can cross the line too. Canwood Street carries Westlake Village mail, and the pin we tested on it came back in Agoura Hills.
  • Both ends of this route can be slow at once. Interstate 405 and U.S. Route 101 are on every reading we took, in both directions, so a slow afternoon on one compounds on the other.

Frequently asked questions

LAX to Westlake Village car service FAQ

The questions travelers ask before booking a LAX to Westlake Village transfer, grouped in the order they usually come up.

Cost

How much is a car service from LAX to Westlake Village?

An LAX to Westlake Village car service starts at $202 for an executive sedan and $235 for a luxury SUV. Across the addresses we confirmed inside the city line, sedans ran $202 to $212 and SUVs $235 to $247, rounded up. Tolls and taxes are included and the gratuity is optional. Your exact drop-off address sets the final number.

How much is car service to LAX from Westlake Village?

A car service to LAX from Westlake Village is quoted the same way as the ride in: by your pickup address and your vehicle, fixed when you book. Our in-city quotes ran $202 to $212 for a sedan and $235 to $247 for an SUV. For an airport transfer to Westlake Village or back, enter the street address at iride360.com/book to see the figure before you pay.

What does the LAX to Westlake Village cost depend on?

The LAX to Westlake Village cost depends on your exact address, the vehicle and any extras. The Civic Center quoted $201.32 for a sedan and Three Springs Drive $211.44, a spread of about $10 across the city. An SUV adds roughly $34. Child seats are $25 each, a pet is $25, and extra stops are priced for the miles and minutes they add.

Does traffic or the time of day change the price?

No. We quoted the Civic Center and Three Springs Drive at 11 AM on a Tuesday and again at 5 PM on a Friday, and both came back identical to the cent. iRide360 sets the fare when you book and does not use surge pricing. Traffic changes how long the drive takes, never what you pay.

Boundary

Is Westlake Village the same as Thousand Oaks?

No, but they overlap. The Westlake Village community is cut diagonally by the Los Angeles and Ventura county line. The Ventura County side was annexed into the City of Thousand Oaks in 1968 and 1972, and the Los Angeles County side was incorporated as the City of Westlake Village in 1981. We serve both; our Thousand Oaks page covers the Ventura County side.

Is Westlake Village in Los Angeles County or Ventura County?

The City of Westlake Village is in Los Angeles County. The county line runs through the wider Westlake Village community, so an address with a Westlake Village mailing address can sit in Ventura County and belong to Thousand Oaks. Of the 41 locations we point-tested, 12 came back outside the city line, and most of those were in Ventura County.

Is the Hyatt Regency Westlake Village in the City of Westlake Village?

No. The hotel's address reads 880 Westlake Blvd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, but when we ran that pin against the U.S. Census incorporated-places layer it came back in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County. We will still drive you there. We simply price it as the Thousand Oaks address it is, rather than as a Westlake Village stop.

Will my ZIP code tell you which city I am in?

No, and this is the one that catches people out. We tested both Westlake Village ZIP codes on their own: 91362 resolved into Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, and 91361 resolved into unincorporated Ventura County. Addresses under both ZIPs do sit inside the City of Westlake Village. Give us the street address and the quote follows your real location.

Route

How far is Westlake Village from LAX?

Westlake Village is 41.9 miles from LAX by road to the Westlake Village Civic Center, and 45.2 miles to Three Springs Drive at the far end of the city, per Google traffic estimates from the Routes API. Every one of our 20 readings ran it on Interstate 405 and U.S. Route 101, northbound out and southbound back. We name no other road, because none appeared in our measurements.

How long does it take to drive from LAX to Westlake Village?

Typically 40 minutes to 1 hour late at night and 1 hr 10 min to 1 hr 55 min during the weekday afternoon peak, per Google traffic estimates (Routes API). Midday runs 50 minutes to 1 hr 20 min, and Saturday afternoon 55 minutes to 1 hr 20 min. Three Springs Drive adds another 5 to 10 minutes in every window.

Departures

How early should I leave Westlake Village for an LAX flight?

Leave about four and a half hours ahead for a 9:00 AM domestic flight, which puts the pickup at 4:35 AM. A 6:00 AM domestic flight needs a 2:45 AM pickup and an 11:00 AM international flight a 5:35 AM one. Each allows a two-hour domestic or three-hour international airport buffer, the slow end of the Google traffic estimate for that hour, a 20-minute safety buffer and ten minutes to load.

Can I book a Westlake Village to LAX car service for a very early flight?

Yes. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day on (833) 743-3360, and our earliest measured reading is a 3:30 AM departure from Westlake Village. Book the time you want at iride360.com/book, or call and we will set it. Your chauffeur comes to your address and handles the bags, and the first 15 minutes of waiting are free.

Why is the morning pickup so early?

Because the morning drive more than doubles. Westlake Village to LAX typically runs 40 to 45 minutes at 3:30 AM on a Tuesday and 1 hr to 1 hr 55 min at 7:00 AM the same day, per Google traffic estimates. Our pickup times use the slow end of each reading, so an early flight and a rush-hour flight are timed very differently.

Do you time the pickup from my own address or from the city center?

Our departure table is measured from the Westlake Village Civic Center. Three Springs Drive and the western streets add 5 to 10 minutes to every window we recorded, so if you are at that end of the city, call dispatch on (833) 743-3360 and we will move the pickup earlier. The fare already follows your address.

At the airport

Where is the rideshare pick up at LAX, and where will my driver meet me?

Rideshare apps pick up at the LAX-it lot. iRide360 does not use it. As a prearranged licensed operator we meet passengers at the terminal itself: on the lower Arrivals level once you have your bags, or inside the terminal with a name sign if meet-and-greet was added at booking. At Tom Bradley International that is the arrivals hall after customs, or the lower-level curb.

What happens if my flight is late?

Nothing you need to do, because we track your flight and move the pickup to your real landing time at no extra charge. After you land you have 60 minutes of free waiting at LAX, and beyond that it is $1 per minute. At a Westlake Village pickup the free wait is 15 minutes.

Alternatives

Is there an LAX shuttle service to Westlake Village?

Shared shuttle operators run on this corridor, but iRide360 is not one of them. An LAX shuttle service seats you with other passengers and stops where each of them is going. We run a private car for your party only, direct from your terminal to your address, at a price fixed when you book.

Is an LAX to Westlake Village shuttle cheaper than a taxi or a private car?

A shared shuttle splits one vehicle between several parties, a taxi charges a meter, and an LAX to Westlake Village shuttle adds the other passengers' stops to your trip. We do not publish other operators' prices, so we cannot compare them. What we can tell you is ours: an LAX to Westlake Village car service from $202 in a sedan, direct, with nobody else aboard.

What is an airport shuttle?

An airport shuttle is a shared vehicle that carries several unrelated parties between an airport and their destinations, stopping for each one. That is a different product from a prearranged car service. iRide360 books one vehicle to one party, with a named chauffeur, a price fixed at booking and a direct route.

Is it cheaper to get a taxi or Uber from LAX?

It depends on the day, because both are priced at the moment you travel. A metered taxi charges by distance and time, and a rideshare app charges whatever its pricing sets when you request the car. Neither figure is known before you land. Ours is agreed when you book, so a 41.9-mile run holds its number.

Service

Is this an LAX town car service, or a limousine?

It is a black car service. An LAX town car service is the closest description: iRide360 runs two vehicle classes only, a black executive sedan and a full-size black luxury SUV. Searching for a Westlake Village limo service, limo service Westlake Village, or a Westlake Village limousine? This is that chauffeured airport experience in those two vehicles. We do not operate stretch limousines, vans or buses.

Do I tip shuttle drivers?

Tipping practice varies by operator, and we cannot speak for a shuttle company. With iRide360 the gratuity is optional and entirely yours to set. At checkout you can choose 15%, 18%, 20%, which is pre-selected, or 25%, or type any amount including $0. Whatever you choose goes to your chauffeur.

Which vehicle should I book, and can I bring seats, pets or extra stops?

Pick the executive sedan for up to three passengers and three bags, and the luxury SUV for up to five and five. The SUV ran about $34 over the sedan to the same address. Booster, forward-facing and rear-facing child seats are available from $25 each on request, a pet travels for a $25 fee, and extra stops are priced for the miles and minutes they add.

What does an LAX to Four Seasons Westlake Village ride cost?

Our sedan quote to the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village at Two Dole Drive was $202.83, and the SUV was $236.50, before the tip. That hotel point-tested inside the City of Westlake Village. The hotel's own fact sheet records 230 guest rooms and 39 suites over seven stories, opened in November 2006.

What makes the best LAX car service for this route?

Judge the best LAX car service on four things rather than a slogan: a licensed operator, a price that holds, a stated wait policy, and a chauffeur who meets you at the terminal. iRide360 is CPUC charter-party carrier TCP 43833-A, quotes a fixed fare at booking, waits 60 minutes free after you land, and does not use the LAX-it lot. You can change the time, address or vehicle online or through dispatch, and the price is recalculated.
