The LAX FlyAway Bus — Is It Worth It? (2026)

$12.75 non-stop from LAX to Union Station. No surge, no LAX-it shuttle, picks up at every terminal. Here's the full honest review.

What Is the LAX FlyAway Bus?

The LAX FlyAway bus is an airport-operated non-stop coach service connecting LAX to select Los Angeles destinations. It's not a shared-ride shuttle, not a local city bus, and not a hotel shuttle. It's a dedicated airport express bus service that picks up from every terminal at LAX and goes directly — no stops, no detours — to its destination.

It's run by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the same authority that runs LAX itself, making it one of the most reliable ground transportation options at the airport. Unlike rideshares, there's no surge pricing. Unlike Metro, there are no transfers. Unlike taxis, there's no LAX-it shuffle.

Tips for a Smooth FlyAway Ride

Pre-purchase your ticket online. Kiosk queues at the FlyAway stop can back up after a busy landing wave.

Check the schedule before landing. Buses run every 15 minutes. Knowing the schedule helps you walk efficiently.

For the Valley option: Van Nuys is a major transit hub for the San Fernando Valley. From Van Nuys station you can connect to Metrolink, city buses, and local rideshares for the final leg to Encino, Sherman Oaks, and Studio City.
